About
The author
David Buch is a working Delphi developer based in Australia. He has spent the past decade writing production Object Pascal across the desktop, mobile, web (via pas2js), and PostgreSQL stack — and the past three years writing this book.
The Delphi Way is his first book. It exists because most existing Delphi material falls into two camps — introductory texts that stop at syntax, and dense reference works aimed at experts — and almost nothing covers the long middle where you are writing real software, making real choices, and the choices you make today determine how painful the next four years will feel.
The project
This site is the home of the book. It carries the latest pricing and availability, the companion-code archive (gated to readers), the running errata list, and a small blog with technical short-form pieces in the same Pascal house style as the book.

Topics worth writing about, in rough order of priority:
- Errata — report corrections; see the errata page for the suggested format.
- Companion code questions — if a chapter listing fails to compile on your toolchain, write with the chapter number, the error, and your Delphi version.
- Bulk and corporate orders — ten or more copies, training, university adoption.
- Translations and rights — please send full proposals, not introductory queries.
